Consumer-Products:
(I:Co:1) The uses of nanotechnology on consumer products like clothes are being made. Waterproofs clothes are being made with layers of silicon nanofilaments which are chemically hydrophobic. "The combination of the hydrophobic surface chemistry and the nanostructure of the coating results in the super-hydrophobic effect," Seeger explained. In the silicon nanofilaments there is air, trap in the clothes so that water never touches the polyester fabric. (Co:2) (I:Co:3) |
